UNITAR Training for Afghan Youth

This program, hosted by the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), aims to empower Afghan youth, including evacuees returning from other countries, through comprehensive training in entrepreneurship and agribusiness. The training will be conducted in three phases from August 2024 to March 2025, combining online learning and a potential in-person workshop.

Program Phases:

  1. Phase I (August - November 2024): Up to 150 participants will receive online training on the fundamentals of entrepreneurship and agribusiness, focusing on identifying high-potential business ideas. This phase includes self-paced courses, peer discussions, assignments, and expert-led

webinars.

  1. Phase II (December 2024 - January 2025): The top 100 participants will advance to learn practical entrepreneurial tools and strategies to address food security issues, including climate-smart agriculture. This phase emphasizes developing innovative and sustainable business solutions.
  2. Phase III (February - March 2025): The final 25 participants will create detailed business blueprints for job creation and enhancing community resilience. This phase involves mentorship, coaching, and possibly an in-person or intensive online workshop.

Eligibility and How to Apply:

  2. Commitment: Participants must commit to 2-4 hours per week for the program's duration.
