The University of Padua Research Fellowships support scholars at risk facing political or military crises globally. These fellowships enable scholars to continue their research in a supportive academic environment, promoting academic freedom and offering protection through the UNIPD Scholars at Risk program.
Key Details:
- Objective: Provide a secure setting for scholars to maintain and continue their research.
- Eligibility:
- Applicants must meet one of the following:
- Beneficiaries of temporary protection as defined in Decision EC 2022/382.
- Holders of residence permits for asylum or humanitarian protection.
- Recognized "scholars at risk" by Scholars at Risk (SAR), Scholars Rescue Fund (SRF), Council for At-Risk Academics (CARA), or self-declared in a situation of risk.
- Duration: 3 to 12 months.
- Funding:

- A three-month research grant of €5,000, renewable up to €20,000 for 12 months.
- Co-funded (50% by the Central Administration, 50% by the host Department).
