The University of Dundee offers the Humanitarian Scholarship for the 2024/25 academic year, consisting of two distinct parts:

  1. Afghan Women's Scholarship: Specifically designed for female Afghan nationals residing outside Afghanistan, focusing on supporting their educational endeavors in various fields, including law.
  2. General Humanitarian Scholarship: Open to international students, including those with refugee status, asylum status, or humanitarian protection, providing broader support for postgraduate studies at the university.

Key Details for Afghan Applicants:

  1. Eligibility: Female applicants with Afghan nationality residing outside Afghanistan. Applicants must hold an academic offer (conditional or unconditional) for a full 180-credit postgraduate taught program in any academic school at the University of Dundee, beginning in September 2024.
  2. Award: Successful applicants will receive a full tuition fee waiver, a monthly living cost allowance, and an accommodation allowance in line with University accommodation costs. The scholarship covers the first year of study for 2-year postgraduate programs.
  3. Additional Requirements: Applicants need to demonstrate their 'International' Fee Status. Documentation to verify immigration status and academic qualifications is required. All documents must be translated into English.
  4. Application Process: Applicants must submit a completed application form for the scholarship in addition to their main program application. Supporting documents should be emailed to scholarships@dundee.ac.uk.
  5. Payment Details: Living costs and accommodation allowances will be paid in monthly installments into a UK bank account.
