The purpose of this scholarship is to promote international exchange and research cooperation between Switzerland and over 180 countries, including Afghanistan.
Eligibility: Young researchers who have completed a master's degree or Ph.D. and foreign artists with a bachelor's degree.

Types of Scholarships:
  1. Research Scholarships: Available to post-graduate researchers in any discipline planning to pursue research or further studies in Switzerland at the doctoral or post-doctoral level. Candidates must be nominated by an academic supervisor at a Swiss higher education institution.
  2. Art Scholarships: Open to art students wishing to pursue an initial arts master's degree in Switzerland. Available to students from a limited number of countries.

Application Procedure:
  1. Prepare Application: Complete forms, research proposal, support letters, and references before the submission deadline.
  2. Submission Deadline: For Afghanistan, the deadline is September 30, 2023.
  3. Selection: By the Federal Commission for Scholarships (FCS) by the end of May 2024.
  4. Start of Scholarships: Next September at the Swiss academic host institution.
